What is a giclée?
The name giclée comes from a French word meaning 'to spray'. It is used to describe prints made on the latest high technology inkjet printers that are able to print to unprecedented quality and archival levels. Various trade associations define giclée in slightly different ways
but the main requirements are:inkjet printing at very high resolution use of archival pigment inks use of fine art acid free paper or canvas to meet the archival standards normally associated with collectable fine art
